Meet the Guest: Michael Lawyer

Dad, clergy spouse, beekeeper, and all-around Renaissance man. Meet our November guest speaker, Michael Lawyer!
Michael is a cradle Episcopalian who met his spouse during her discernment process. They have been married for 21 years, 19 of which have been spent post-ordination.
Life for Michael includes caring for two teenagers, two dogs, six Koi fish, and around 60,000 bees! He also manages a full-time day job (which, in his words, isn’t nearly as interesting as it sounds) and a long list of hobbies (which he insists are more fascinating than anyone else thinks).
Michael currently lives in Carmel, Indiana, a place he describes as “an incredibly pleasant place to be.” During our conversation, he’ll share how his beekeeping and other creative pursuits offer grounding and joy in the midst of everyday life.
