Finding God in the Wilderness

Learn more about the second installment of our virtual retreat series.

America continues to live through tumultuous times. Rather than Jesus’ forty days in the wilderness, we might be feeling we’re facing years in the wilderness—though hopefully not the forty years our spiritual ancestors spent wandering after leaving Egypt. We do our best to support our spouses as clergy in this uncertain time, but where do we turn to find nourishment?
In this second in a series of live online retreat days, we will ponder prayer and worship in the wilderness, then and now. Join with other clergy spouses to pray, reflect, and worship with one another, using images of the Tent of Meeting in the wilderness, the Temple on Mount Zion, and Paul’s image of our bodies as temples of the Spirit, then close our time together with sharing and discussion.
Each retreat day is complete in itself, so please join us even if you were unable to attend the first retreat day in May. These retreat days are offered for $20 each (free for spouses of clergy in the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona; contact Jayin for the code) and will last 2.5 hours long. You may want to have on hand a favorite journal and pen or other writing materials—or your computer, if you prefer to type. Also please wear comfortable clothing, as we will do some movement prayers together.
You are able to register for more than one session at once time: click the desired session in the left-hand sidebar and be sure to add a ticket to your cart for each one. If you have any issues, please contact Katelyn.
